Before all the fancy glitter and superhero capes descended on the store, we had some heavy moving to do to clear enough space for all the fans. I'm a sci-fi/fantasy type of girl, and I've got books for any age percolating in my mind from years of reading. Just today, I introduced two budding readers to two of my favorite series: <a href="http://www.shoponceuponatime.com/book/9780375829055">The Protector of the Small</a> by <a href="http://www.tamora-pierce.com/">Tamora Pierce</a> for a 12 year old girl, and <a href="http://www.shoponceuponatime.com/book/9780689856723">The White Mountains</a> by <a href="http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/john-christopher/">John Christopher</a> for a 10 year old boy. Both are old favorites in my family, and my parents always love hearing me talk about introducing our favorite books to new readers. What started as an exciting introduction to retired Sherlock and his brilliant young protege Mary in <a href="http://www.shoponceuponatime.com/search/apachesolr_search/beekeeper%27s%20apprentice"><u>The Beekeeper's Apprentice</u></a> has continued to what is now the eleventh book, <a href="http://www.shoponceuponatime.com/book/9780553807981">Pirate King</a>. Because I've been working, I haven't had time to start reading yet, but I can't wait!
